Weight loss khichdi (millet recipe)
Serve-1
Ingredients
1-Barnayard millet-35 gm
2-Chickpeas-45 mg
3-Onion-30 gm
4-Carrot-20 gm
5-Tomato-30 gm
6-Capsicum-50 gm
7-Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
8-Green chili-as per taste
9-Cinnamon Stick-As per taste
10-Star anise -1
11-Garlic paste-1 spoon
12-Turmeric powder-1/4th tsp
13-Coriander powder-1 tsp
14-Salt-as per taste
15-Coriander leaves- for garnish
16-Ghee- 1 tsp
Cooking process
1-Wash 2-3 times chickpeas and soak it for overnight.
2-Next morning again wash the chickpeas and keep it aside
3-Wash barnyard millet 2-3 times keep it aside.
4-Wash and chop all the vegetables into small pieces.
5-Take a clay pot, add 1 tsp ghee, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick green chili, star anise and fry for 2-3 min.
6-Then add all the chopped vegetables and fry for 5-6 min.
7-After that add soaked chickpeas, washed Barnyard millet, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and 1.5 cup water cook it for 15 min.
8-Garnish with coriander leaves.
Our healthy gluten free weight loss khichdi is ready to serve.
